Twitter may not want conservatives but Gab will gladly accept them

With conservatives being wary of their future on Twitter many are choosing to move to “greener pastures”. Parler was the first option for many, but depending on Amazon for server space may not have been the smartest move. Gab is by their own words more self sustainable and as such may grab a larger share of digital migrants.

If Twitter thought that the president’s account is violating their rules it should have dealt with that a long time ago, dealing with him during the last days of his presidency just sends a message of doubt.

But it was not just Trump that got removed, many other conservative users have said they have seen the number of their followers drop by a substantial margin.

If Gab will survive the initial attacks against its very own existence, we may see a new era of social networks just like we have seen with the “death” of Myspace.

New users are already reporting a growing follower base on Gab and are questioning Twitter algorithm. While some may dislike their existence the left and Big Tech need to learn that calling everyone extremists does not really make them extremists.

Regardless of what you think of Gab we should all support the diversifying digital world in which smaller companies reclaim space from the tech giants.
